Number Series Explanation 4 - Two Intertwining Patterns

Example 1

It is immediately clear that there cannot be a monotonous or exponential relationship, because the numbers do not increase or decrease every step. Also, there does not seem to be an alternating pattern. Check if you recognize a pattern between the numbers on the odd positions (Number 1, 3, 5, 7 etc).

However, to find the answer, the sequence for the numbers on the even positions (Number 2, 4, 6, 8 etc) must be found.

The answer is 8.

Tip: If you suspect that this pattern applies, scan the numbers in the odd positions immediately. Does it feel like these numbers are patterned? Draw the arches.
