The steps between the numbers increase and the step from 1 to 2 is of a completely different order than from 8 to 48. You can write down the multiplication arcs. Be precise about this, because you can easily make mistakes. You might see the pattern right away, but you can also write down a second row of arches to find the answer.

To get to the answer, 48 must be multiplied by 8. Answer: 48 * 8 = 384

Tip: If you think the sequence is exponential, check if all numbers are divisible by the previous number in the sequence. If this is the case, it is almost certain that the sequence is exponential.
