LTP Assessment Practice

Practice package for the LTP assessment

LTP does not work with one fixed test. Depending on the role and the level you get a short online pre-selection or a fuller assessment with questionnaires and sometimes an interview or a simulation. The ability test is the part you can practise, and the short version is known as the G-test: many questions in little time, often around fifty items in twenty minutes, so roughly half a minute per question. Which sections it contains differs per administration, so check your invitation. LTP also runs a practice site of its own for candidates; use it alongside this package. Most LTP ability tests exist in an English version too, and the question formats are the same as in the Dutch one.

Pace is the real subject here

At about thirty seconds per question the trap is not that the items are too hard, but that you get stuck on one of them. A question you do not see after twenty seconds you will usually not see after fifty either: guess and move on. So always practise with the timer on. You have to build in the feeling of 'this is taking too long' before it counts.

The sections that come back most often

And the rest of the assessment?

If there is a personality questionnaire, there is nothing to practise there and filling it in consistently and honestly is the best you can do; those questionnaires have built-in checks for contradictory answers. Put your energy into the ability sections above; that is where preparation really makes a difference. Our practice tests mimic the question format and the time pressure; they are not copies of the real items.

Take the free LTP practice assessment to gain insight into your stronger and weaker parts and to divide your time optimally across the topics.

What's in the LTP preparation package?

There are roughly six different types of patterns that are often used for number series. By studying the explanations with example exercises of the different patterns, you will recognize the patterns more easily, work faster and make fewer mistakes.

Number Series explanation 2 - Exponential series
Number Series explanation 3 - Alternating Pattern
Number Series explanation 4 - Two intertwining patterns
Number Series explanation 5 - Exceptions
Number Series explanation 6 - Fractions
Number Series explanation 1 - Monotonous series

First, do a free number series practice Aptitude Test. After the test you get access to the detailed answers and you can see how you scored compared to the other people who completed this test.

We recommend doing at least 3 practice tests with time constraints. At the end of each exercise set, we indicate how your score relates to the norm group and whether you need to work faster or more accurately to get the highest possible score on your aptitude test to improve your score. This way you know exactly when you are optimally prepared.
